I’ve been a bad blogger. Horrible actually. And it probably wouldn’t really matter except that I know people expect me to be writing things. Each day I check to see how many folks have stopped by to be let down and it makes me feel a little worse each day. Of course this isn’t my job and I don’t get paid to write about my sometimes boring and not so fabulous life, but I do feel a responsibility to fulfill expectations, however small they may be. The problem at times is that my life can be reaaaalllly boring. Like, majorly so. During those times, it takes effort to write something I could feel ok with people wasting 2 minutes of their life on.
I happen to be experiencing many of those days now. Just ho hum life void of any creative juices to inspire me. In an effort to get myself out of this funk, I’m challenging myself to be better…or at the very least write a bunch of crap. For the next week I will vow to blog each and every day. I don’t know what exactly I will blog, but if nothing else I’ll share what I ate for lunch and how I get really mad when I accidentally step in the poop my neighbor failed to pick up. Yea…that happened earlier today. What I have found lately, is that people seem to respond far more to dating/relationship blogs then they do to anything related to athletics. There is only one problem with that…the lack of useful data to write such a blog. So for now I am open to any ideas and suggestions as to what to write about, and in the meantime check back daily if you have a couple minutes to waste!

no, really, why don't you write an entry about what you hate. Like "I Hate....." then list everything. Then, the next day, write an "I Love...." post. And BAM! I just gave you two posts! ;)
well write about the uphill journey to another track season, although people may not respond the only reason i heard about your blog was through word or mouth and trackshark lol.
Just do your best to "TELL WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND" at that moment. I enjoy it and I'm sure others do also. :O)

Related to athletics? Did I miss something? Seriously though, I miss the kind of stuff you gave us 2 years ago, when you wrote about running up and down Arizona Stadium, or how you recover on your back, or how distance runners think you do easy workouts. I loved that stuff because it took me back to when I did that kind of stuff everyday, back when I had a reason to. But I also liked them because I could just tell when I read them that you were writing about something that you love completely and absolutely, that is your true passion. All your posts are good because you can write about pretty much anything and make it fun, but your posts as an athlete are better.
You might be mistaking comments for interest. People can only talk about what they know, so sometimes all they can say is 'neat post.' It doesn't mean they didn't enjoy reading it.
You really haven't written much about your training since you moved to San Diego. I know it's routine for you, but it's not for us. How are you feeling after your first week back? What's your average day like? How is training this year different so far? Talk to the little people! :)
I liked the perspective blog you did. Maybe you could do a blog where you're a guy who's debating going on an EHarmony type of site. He sits down and writes what he's looking for in a woman;you.
I don't know...sounds good, but then again you might get a lot of hate mail lol....with all the haters out there lol.
Or do a blog about a dream you've had, real or completely made up, about the mate of your dreams...NOT A CELEBRITY. Physical description doesn't matter, just focus on the character traits, dialogue, mannerisms etc that you would find irresistable in a guy
@jon...well thanks, glad you like that stuff. hopefully not just you though. you're right, it isn't always about the comments, there really just isn't any other way to tell.

You could write about farts. People always love a good fart story. Like when was the last really good one you belted? Did you hang around to savor the moment? Were there any skids left? Were you in public? In bed? We will expect your blog tomorrow. :)
You're right the dating ones are the most entertaining. They are also helpful, so my suggestion is start to go on a date a day. I'm pretty sure you get asked out a lot, so don't turn anyone down, always say yes. I know you're an old-fashioned girl, but you should take the initiative and start asking out men. I look forward to reading about your new dating life. 30 dates in 30 days and 30 blogs. You up for the challenge?

I first read your blog on trackshark(what a sad day when it went off) your pics was the first thing that I look at(not in a bad way shmG) ... but know I Love to read your blog.. your amazing, you seem smart and you look great and I hope one day I can take you on a date to burger king lol
You could write about the random momemts of the day. Like take one random moment and draft a blog. Your life is full of randoms (ahem, facebook), so chronicle it for us :)

Bri, I like when you are you. Not afraid to tell it like it is. This is a huge strength of yours, something I admire so greatly. I do not have this within me at times.
Honesty, saying what you honestly think and feel. Yes, it takes guts but you have those guts! That is why we love you! Its your blog and you can do that. I still remember reading your papers in high school about Abortion & Death Penalty. I loved your honesty and intelligence! I know I am going way back on you but I totally think of those papers often! Your dating and relationships blogs are always a hit; true. However, the fact that you refuse to write about most of your dates for fear that "your date" might happen to come on here and read about it is lame. lol.
If he wants to date you, then he should be able to deal with your wants, needs and expectations, dating wise that is. One of which is the need to share your thoughts on the success or failure factor of those dates. Afterall you're a public figure with a wide fan base. *grinning*

Carry a pen and pad like most good writers. You must capture your thought(s), in the moment; that's what makes them real and interesting.
